Excuse me while I hop onto this bandwagon. XD
I decided to start with 2003 and not change that, just because I don't really have any artwork saved from before that year; it was mostly doodles that later got thrown away when my room was being cleaned.
2003-2004: Like it says, that was when I was first introduced and got interested in drawing people (I only drew animals before) and drawing them in the manga style. Started off with a How to Draw Manga book as a springboard, and then ran with it on my own.
2005-2006: A lot of these characters were either nameless practice figures or characters from a comic a friend from church and I were collaborating on. I had to be really careful about what I was drawing at this point, since the parental units had an eye on just about everything I drew at this point (they didn't like the manga style).
2007: Yeah... that was a very busy year. Boot camp wasn't too bad, but my parents and I were almost always bickering when I got back and college was stressful. Price of growing up, I guess.
2008: Mostly started drawing said iffy material because I was getting more clever at hiding my work. Plus, I wanted to become more adept at drawing the female body, which you can't do when she has a bunch of clothes on.
2009: This year was largely when my most familiar OCs (Dusk, Jericho, Nate, etc.) were born. I think the general vibe from my artwork changed at this point, pretty much from a mixture of having my sexual side woken up and running out of damns to give of what my parents thought about the content anymore.
2010: I liked this year because I could now add backgrounds to my pictures without wasting a shitload of colored pencil. XD
2011: I think I really came out of my innocent shell by this year, largely because of getting married and getting my own place away from the eyes of my folks so I could develop my works in the way I wanted. :3
It was interesting to go back and look at my old work... honestly, I can't believe I had any of them left. LOL
